About Me

A bit about me

My name is Sue Bishop (née Susan Patricia PICKNETT 1/4/1955). I was born in Birkenhead on Merseyside, where my father settled after leaving the RAF after World War 2. I lived on Merseyside until I was 18, when I left to study for a degree at London University.

I am divorced and live with my children in North Essex. I am currently a full-time German/French teacher at a comprehensive school in Cambridgeshire. Before training as a teacher many years ago, I worked in London at the Evening Standard and Reuters.

My interests

Apart from family and local history, I spend time gardening and experimenting with cookery...which means my offerings are usually a bit of a lottery!

More about my ancestors can be found here.
